Center of National and International Conciliation and Arbitration of the Lima Chamber of Commerce

The Center of National and International Conciliation and Arbitration of the Lima Chamber of Commerce was estabished in 1993. It is dedicated to the resolution of disputes through institutionally-supported conciliation and arbitration.

The Centre seeks to generalize, improve and develop arbitration and conciliation as modes of dispute settlement. It manages arbitration and conciliation procedures and provides administrative and consultative assistance in this connexion. It appoints arbitrators and conciliators in the course of arbitrations under its Rules, when the parties have not made such appointments, and also acts as an appointing authority for other arbitrations. It ensures respect, by arbitrators acting under its Rules, of its Code of Ethics for arbitrators and conciliators. It maintains a list of experts in the field of arbitration and conciliation. It submits to the consideration of public authorities proposals on alternative dispute resolution.
