International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an independent permanent arbitration institution founded in 1994 in accordance with the Law of Ukraine On International Commercial Arbitration of 24 February 1994. Its activities are regulated by the abovementioned Law, the Statute of the Court annexed to the Law, and the Rules of the Court approved by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The ICAC settles disputes arising in the course of foreign trade and other forms of international economic transactions, provided that the place of business of at least of one of the parties is abroad. It also resolves disputes arising in connection with enterprises with foreign investments and international associations and organizations established in Ukraine. Examples of transactions covered by the ICAC include: sale/purchase/delivery of goods; contracts of service and labor; carriage of goods and passengers; commercial representation and agency; construction; leasing; licensing; scientific-technical exchange; exchange of other forms of intellectual property; financing; insurance; investment and joint ventures, and other forms of business and industrial co-operation.
