Using/reading PDF documents

Most of the model contracts as well as users' guides displayed in Juris International are in PDF format (Portable Document Format). Therefore, if you wish to use/read them, you will need to use the Adobe Acrobat Reader software. It is possible to download this software, free of charge, from the following web page: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. Information on how to download this software is also available on that web page.

Modifying PDF documents

Whenever a model contract or a users' guide is displayed on a PDF format, you will not be able to edit it in that format. To edit it, copy and paste the document on a word processor software such as Microsoft Word. In order to so, complete the following steps:

  1. When you download a PDF document, the later appears on your Web navigator thanks to the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in. You need then to save a copy on your hard disk of the document by clicking on the "Save" icon of the plug-in.

  2. Then close your Web navigator and double click on the saved copy of the PDF document. Accordingly, you will be able to view the document.

  3. Once the document is opened, choose the "Continuous reading" option in the "View" menu, and then, activate the "Select all" option of the "Edit" menu.

  4. Finally, you can copy the whole text by using the "Copy" option in the Edit Menu and by pasting it in the word processor software of your choice using the function "Paste" (Press Ctrl+v).
