The New Zealand Law Society is an association for memebrs of the legal profession. The general function of the Society is to promote the interests of the legal profession and the interests of the public in relation to legal matters. The Society encourages the proper conduct among the members of the legal profession and promotes opportunities for the diffusion of legal knowledge and the reform of law. The Society is organized in District societies and specialised committees. Its Continuing Legal Education Committee provides a wide range of courses to keep practioners up-to-date (for ex. coomerce on internet, etc.). District Societies provide legal library services. |
