Model clause

The standard clause recommended by ICC states:

"All disputes arising from this contract/charter party shall be finally settled in accordance with the ICC-CMI International Maritime Arbitration Rules by one or more arbitrators appointed in accordance with the said Rules."

It is advisable to indicate the place of arbitration, the law to be applied to the issues of the dispute, the number of arbitrators and the language of the arbitration.
